ROLLIN' & BOWLIN' Bowl-a-thon 2017
We had a full house with lots of families, children, and friends bowling with us. A number of awards were given out to our participants. In addition, we recognized our 2017 Volunteers of the Year: Michelle & Ed Ness. Their efforts on behalf of EFN have been tremendous. The Ness family spent countless hours helping us in many ways, but in particular they led the effort to help us bounce back from the burglary last summer and get us moved and settled into our new office suite. We would like to also thank our sponsors for helping making this event a success!
Exceptional Bowl & Bid 2016
Please enjoy this video that was put together for us by Eric Vaughn & Amelia Skinner.
We'd like to give a special thanks to the Lucky 7 Foundation, Heritage Bank Spanaway Branch, and Bowlero Lanes for helping make this year's event a success. We would also like to thank all of the volunteers, friends, and families who came to the event despite the forecasted "storm of the century." We had a great time!

#Dare2BExceptional Walk 2016

We had a fun time in the sun at Lakewood Towne Center in May to bring awareness to the incidence of bullying among children who experience special needs. We recognized Metro Parks Tacoma Specialized Recreation as our 2016 Community Partner. Walkers and vendors dressed up in silly outfits to demonstrate how we are all exceptional in our own way. Photo opportunities abounded with the folks from the 501st Legion Garrison Titan walking around in their Star Wars garb. Kenny Richards was our featured speaker and he read a proclamation from the Mayor of the City of Lakewood. We also enjoyed an awesome performance from Pig Snout Band. Thanks to everyone who joined us!
Exceptional Bowl & Bid 2015
We were so happy to recognize Concordia Lutheran School as our 2015 Community Partner. They allowed us to go into their school and educate their entire student body, one classroom at a time, about autism and invisible disabilities. They are inspiring the next generation of advocates and the impact of the work we were able to do in their school is far-reaching. Thank you, Concordia! You truly have helped us work on both our mission and our vision for the future.
Thanks to all of the wonderful attendees that helped us bowl for a good cause. The combination of a new venue, new software system, and new food service ideas created some challenges, but you helped us push through and have a successful event. We appreciated everyone's generosity and hope that you had a great time!

Exceptional Bowl & Bid 2014

It was our honor to recognize the Children's Museum of Tacoma as the Exceptional Families Network's 2014 Community Partner. They have supported our mission and helped us grow by allowing us to use their space for our monthly support group, SPECIAL Families of Pierce County. They host our special event nights on the second Thursday of each month when the museum is closed, and provide staffing and volunteers for children in the museum while their parents learn from an expert speaker in the program room. It gives the parents respite and camaraderie and the kids get to have fun. We are excited to continue to grow our program with the help of our partner, the Children's Museum of Tacoma.
The Exceptional Families Network is a grassroots, all-volunteer nonprofit organization. The Exceptional Bowl & Bid fundraiser is critical to our on-going operations. Thanks to everyone's participation and donations, we raised over $14,000 to help the Exceptional Families Network provide support and education programs for hundreds of local exceptional families. We believe that "special needs" equals "exceptional," and with your help, we will continue to spread this message and directly impact families in a positive way. Thanks for your support!

Exceptional Bowl & Bid 2013

We had a great time at our 2013 fundraiser benefiting education and support programs of the Exceptional Families Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves families with children that have special needs.
It was our honor to recognize Above the Board Construction as the Exceptional Families Network's 2013 Community Partner. They have supported our mission and helped us grow by donating our beautiful office space, and they have treated our staff and volunteers like family since the first day we moved in. Thank you, ATB!
