Exceptional Families Network’s (EFN) mission is to support, educate, and empower exceptional families and our community to create an inclusive environment for children with special needs. EFN lives by the motto, It Takes a Village. In working collaboratively, we can support and educate each other while empowering all. When parents and caregivers feel supported, empowered, and educated they are more prepared to tackle the many needs of our exceptional kids!

Exceptional Families Network provides over 450 events and activities throughout the year, training for families, and advocacy for all. In order to continue offering these amazing resources, EFN has launched a new Membership Program. Beginning March 1st, 2019 families will be asked to join EFN’s Membership Program to continue attending the many events and activities, as well as receiving access to all the amazing resources.

We do not want a membership fee to prevent anyone from participating in the events and activities or receiving services that EFN offers so we have developed four options for joining the program:

  1. Annual payment of $100, plus $10 registration fee (applicable if you have not been a member in the last 90 days).

  2. Quarterly payments of $25 ($2 processing fee per quarter will be waived if families sign up for auto withdrawal) plus $10 registration fee (applicable if you have not been a member in the last 90 days).

  3. Volunteer 24 hours per year with Exceptional Families Network. There are endless opportunities and options available for volunteering. These hours can be shared with partners, parents, adult siblings and close family and friends. All volunteers must complete a background check prior to volunteering. The whole community benefits.

  4. Combination Plan: Choose the number of hours you will pledge to volunteer to decrease the annual membership fee by $5 per hour you volunteer.

  5. Request financial assistance.

How Does This Work?

Families can choose to pay their membership fee or fill out a volunteer pledge form to earn credits for the volunteer component of the membership program. Hours will be tracked, and monthly statements will be sent to showing how many hours have been completed and the remaining balance due. If families choose to volunteer in lieu of paying the membership fee, they must complete all 24 hours of volunteer time before the end of December or they will be charged for the remaining balance which will be calculated at $5 per hour remaining.
